Sony Ericsson launched the first ever Playstation certified smartphone Xperia PLAY on February 13, 2011. The smartphone is a Android based device which provides a Playstation-quality gaming experience. The smartphone also features best-in-class entertainment experience with a 5 MP camera, a brilliant 4'' multi-touch screen and social networking features.
The entertainment features include 3D games, Dedicated gaming keys, Flash Lite, Gesture gaming, Motion gaming, Video streaming and YouTube. The smartphone comes equipped with a number of in-built applications including Google Latitude, Google Maps™ with Street View, Gmail, Google Gallery 3D and Google Search widget.
The device will be available globally in selected markets from March 2011.
